Mountains appear immovable. The phrase ‘make like a mountain’ summons the image of standing upright, grounded on Earth in a pose of steadfast calmness. The metaphor of mountains invites us to reflect on solidity, reaching great heights, constancy, permanence, motionlessness. A day of exploring the metaphor of the mountains.
